The voyage
Cast off and follow the Shannon into Lough Ree — the Lake of the Kings. As the shore slips behind you, the water opens into a vast, island-scattered horizon that has carried Vikings, monks and merchants for over a thousand years.
Your skipper narrates the whole way: the hidden hoards said to lie on Hare Island, the ruined churches of Inchcleraun, and the herons, swans and great crested grebes that call these reedbeds home. It is the gentlest, most beautiful way to see the midlands — and our most family-friendly sailing.
